Something for Everything in Magic in the Mundane

Truthfully one of the gratifying parts about writing this book is getting feedback that there is something for everyone in it. I’ve heard from a lot of great guys who are loving it. Just Sunday my son Mark called telling me he and his girlfriend Katie, enjoyed the read (that’s what great sons do hah!) but what I loved, even more, was when he called me yesterday to tell me some big news about his job and a big decision he had to make as founder of his own fledgling company. It was a big deal for him and he referenced an entry in the book by saying “I just wanted to call and tell you. We agreed we’d spend more time talking" and he was referencing an entry called Listen Well pulling up a story from when he was in high school. My gratitude journal is a little out of date but if I was doing an entry last night it would be for that moment.

And it would be for the moment of sitting down and breaking bread with 7 executives yesterday over lunch, all-female CEOs, who come from different parts of the industry. We told stories about the past year, talked about our goals for the coming year. Chatted about any blocks and how we could support one another. And there over a glass of wine and a healthy salad, we were one, finding and making Magic in the Mundane. It doesn't get much better than that and every day I’m thankful for your stories. Together we make magic every day. Send me your stories at anthea@antheas.com

How gratifying to my grand-nephew Leyton, gobbling up every word and that sparkle in his eye.
